Introduction

All praise is due to Allah, by whose blessing righteous deeds are completed and by whose grace blessings descend. I praise Him, Glorified be He, and thank Him for the abundant gifts and grants He has bestowed. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone, with no partner — a testimony by which I hope for salvation on the Day when the scales are set and the records are spread. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, sent as a mercy to all worlds. May my Lord’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, and all his companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.

Islamic knowledge is the inheritance of the prophets, and through it, ranks are elevated. It is the life of hearts and the adornment of minds. Allah, the Exalted, has bestowed upon this nation a great distinction not granted to others: the chain of transmission (isnad). Through it, the religion is preserved, the Sunnah is protected, and the authentic is distinguished from the weak.

ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Mubārak (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“The chain of transmission is part of the religion. Were it not for the chain, whoever wished would say whatever they wished.”

The generations of this blessed Muhammadan nation have continuously maintained, preserved, and transmitted knowledge through elevated chains of narration. The continuity of the chain is among the greatest distinctions of this  over other nations, to the extent that more than one scholar said:

“”The chain of transmission is part of the religion, and were it not for it, anyone could say whatever they pleased.””

This is only by the grace of Allah, then by the efforts of the great scholars who preserved the religion, safeguarded it, and devoted their lives to narration and understanding. May Allah reward them greatly on behalf of Islam and the Muslims.

This catalog before you is a collection of the most important books and texts that I was able to read and hear, and through which I received authorizations (ijāzāt) from my teachers among the people of knowledge and transmission. It includes various disciplines such as Hadith, Fiqh, Aqīdah, language, purification of the soul, Seerah, and others — all of which are essential references for the student of knowledge and a provision in the journey of seeking knowledge.

I ask Allah, the Most High, to make this work purely for His Noble Face, beneficial for me and my brothers, and to make it a link in the chain of inherited knowledge from the Master of Messengers ﷺ. Indeed, He is capable of that.
